SERIGNE MUHAMMADU MURTADHA MBACKÉ
The youngest son of Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba who was known as the Ambassador of the Muridiyya- the name of the movement inspired by Sh. Ahmadu Bamba's writings. He was an erudite scholar of Islam and known for his piety. He founded many schools in Senegal and projects around the world to spread the teachings of the Sheikh.
SERIGNE ABDOU MOUHAYMINOU MBACKÉ
Our Teacher at Nuru Darayni is the son of Serigne Mourtada who carries on his family tradition and legacy of Islamic scholarship and education. Sheikh Abdou is the head of an Al Azhar Franco Arabe school in Kebemer- and acts as a translator at offical events in Touba. Fluent in Arabic, Wolof, French, and English he instructs students in the texts of Serigne Touba.
SHEIKH AHMADU BAMBA
A Scholar and saint he was major example of a peacemaker of the 20th century. Although he suffered persecution from French colonial authorities Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba also known as Serigne Touba produced volumes of scholastic materials. He also developed alternative and independent economies to support learning centres through out the country of Senegal. His writings known as qasa'id or qasida are the subject of study at Nuru Darayni Academy.

NURU DARAYNI ACADEMY operates finances through paypal or similar app - *contact the email* to discuss accessing course work, or any services you are in need of. We wish to firstly spread the Message of Islam as taught by the writings of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, a message of peace and love. To be taught in a traditional and authentic matter by the Sheikh's family, with Ijaza for completing study of the text with Cheikh Abdou Mbacke. We will discuss costs with students on an individual basis *Adiya refers to a pious gift, a donation, which is given to a Sheikh as a sign of respect and support and is a distinctive practice amongst the Muridiyya.
